3rd week of May

We started our week by buying 10 shares of Duke Energy @ 83,58 USD. This will increase our expected dividend income approximately by 14,45 € in 2020. Otherwise the week was pretty quiet.

On Monday we received some of the dividends which we missed last week. We received 9.24 € from Abbvie and 18,25 € from Realty Income. We are still waiting fo our Main Street Capital dividends.

On Wednesday we received  13,99 € from Ocean Yield ASA and finally on Friday we received 1,55 € From Diversified Healthcare Trust.

Our dividend income so far in May is 355,93 €. We still expect around 30 € dividends this month so we will again fall behind our target pace. This also means that our cumulative dividend income for this year will be less than it should be if we want to meet our target. Our passive income has been better than last year's income, so that is something positive. We are still positive that we will meet our this year goal.

2nd week of May

We started our week by buying 3 shares of Genuine Parts Company @75,52 USD. This will increase our estimated dividend income by 3,5 €.

First dividends arrived to our accounts on Wednesday when we received 19,14 € from Whitestone REIT. On Thursday we received 20 AUD from Washington H.Soul Pattinson which is approximately 11,93 €. And finally on Friday we received dividends from following companies:
This week's total dividend income was 101,01 €. Pretty decent week even though our bank failed (again) to transfer us some of the dividends. We are missing Realty Income REIT dividends. It seems like we will fall behind our target pace after this month, so we need to strenghten our portfolio for the rest of the year. To be able to do that we are considering to take another investment loan, if the terms are good enough. Right now it seems like we will reach our goal even without the new loan.

First week of May

We received bad news in the first week of May. Sampo announced that board has changed the suggested dividend down to 1.50 € per share. This will cut our predicted dividend income by 91,52€.

As usual, we had our investment loan payback time. We paid 213 € principal and 2,74 interests and fees. Our investment loan is now so small that we are considering taking another one and we have had preliminary discussions with our bank. The interest rate they promised seems to be decent.

We reinvested some of our dividends and at the same time put some of our "own money" in. On 4th of May we bought 6 shares of Pepsico @130,69 USD. This will increase our predicted dividend income by 14 € this year. At the same time we also bought 5 shares of AT&T @29,58 USD. This will increase our predicted dividend income by 4 € this year.  We also received 28,60 € cashback which was automatically transferred to funds.

Weekly dividends were:

  • 102,77 € from AT&T on Monday
  • 47,66 € from Verizon on Monday
  • 61,46 € from Fortum on Tuesday
All dividends are net sums paid to our accounts.

Our dividend income is now 211,89  € in May and 1987,69 € YTD. It seems hard to reach our goal this month, but we are not giving up. Instead we try to strengthen our portfolio so that we can get more income later this year.

Last week of April

Last week was quiet. Only 3 dividends arrived and we did not make any purchases.

On 28th of April we received 8,80 € from Msc Industrial Direct Co after taxes and fees deducted.
On the last day of April we received dividends from following companies:
Our April dividend income was 385,76. A lot less than expected, but not as bad it could had been. We are just barely on track to reach our this year target. We should be ahead now since rest of the year is usually a lot worse than the first 5 months. So far we have accumulated 1775,80 € passive income this year.
